He was born May 31, 1965 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Robert Patterson and Priscilla Swarts Patterson of Batavia.
Shayne was employed by Waste Management in the Buffalo area for several years. He enjoyed playing hockey and football and was a fan of the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bills. He also enjoyed listening to Willie Nile, Bruce Springsteen and watching the show Shameless.
Surviving besides his mother is his children, Nicholas Patterson of E. Pembroke, Jacob Patterson of Buffalo and Zachory Patterson of Buffalo. Sister, Rebecca Patterson of Batavia. Also survived by cousins.
