Nicolina M. Maniace

  Nicolina M. Maniace, 84 of Batavia, passed away on Sunday January 20, 2019 at New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia. She was born on June 9, 1934 in East Bethany to the late John (Natalina Perciballi) Cervoni. Mrs. Maniace is preceded in death by her beloved husband Samuel J. Maniace (1992), grandsons Stephen and Douglas Smith Jr.; great-grandson Landon Smith; a brother John Cervoni; sisters Rosie Ianni and Christina Orlando.

Mrs. Maniace worked for many years at Melton Shirt Factory and Jackson School. She was a long time member of the Notre Dame Prayer Group. Nicolina loved playing bingo and above all else enjoyed spending time with her family who was everything to her.

She is survived by her children David (Susan) Maniace, Valerie (Douglas) Smith both of Batavia; siblings Al Cervoni of AZ; Vincent (Janice) Cervoni of Batavia; Yolanda McCowen of Batavia; Dorothy (Earl) Schlaggel of Batavia; Ann (Charles) Bordinaro of Oakfield; grandchildren Scott (Missy) Smith, Eric (Kim) Smith, Kyle, Olivia Maniace; great-grandchildren Dominic, Annabella, Adriana Smith; along with many nieces and nephews.   

Friends are invited to call on Wednesday January 23, 2019 from 4:00-8:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020. A 12:00PM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday January 24th at Resurrection Parish, 18 Ellicott St., Batavia, NY 14020. Mrs. Maniace will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia.
