DOMINIC A. POLLINO

DOMINIC A. POLLINO ~ 87, of Batavia, died Saturday morning December 29, 2018 at the New York State Veterans Home @ Batavia. Mr. Pollino was born in Geneva, NY on March 8, 1931, a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Snowney) Pollino, also preceded in death by siblings, Fred Pollino and Shirley Matriscino.

Dominic was raised in Geneva, NY, served his country honorably with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and returned to Geneva and married Geraldine Faso of Batavia, NY. Dom and Geraldine settled in Geneva for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting and was a retired supervisor for NYS Electric & Gas. 23 years ago Dominic and his wife relocated and settled in Batavia where he was a member of Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph’s).

Mr. Pollino is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Geraldine (Faso) Pollino of Batavia, loving daughter, Julie Ann Pollino-Tanner currently of Buffalo, NY and a brother-in-law, Patrick Matriscino of Victor.

The Pollino family will be present Friday, January 4, 2019 from 10 – 11:30a.m. at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC, 4120 West Main Street Road, Batavia, New York 14020, where prayers will be recited 11:30a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 12 NOON at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph’s Site), followed by Full Military Honors. Memorials in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
