Hardman G. Smith

Hardman G. Smith, 80 of Elba, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. He was born on April 25, 1938 in Robinson, PA to the late William (Maryetta Frain) Smith. Hardman is preceded in death by his beloved wife Gloria J. (Lomax) Smith; brother Lloyd Smith, sisters Vera Smith and Mable Dart.

Mr. Smith was retired from U.S. Airways and United States Marine Corp Veteran.

He is survived by his children Sonya (Charles) Durkee of Elba; Laura Smith of Florida; Hardman Smith Jr. of Florida; sister Ronda (Ray) Koffman of PA; 4 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday December 31, 2018 from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020. A 12:00 noon Celebration of Life will immediately follow. He will be laid to rest with military honors in North Byron Cemetery.
