Gertrude M. Robusto

  Gertrude M. Robusto, 94, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Friday September 7, 2018 at Episcopal Church Home in Rochester. She was born February 24, 1924 in Rochester to the late John (Grace Fafisca) Torrito. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Pasquale “Pat” G. Robusto Sr. whom she married November 16, 1946; son Joseph Robusto; brothers Frank and Mike Robusto; sisters Libby (James) Lodato; Florence (Joseph) Quattrocchi; sisters-in-law Ann, Mary Robusto, Mary Kerber; brother in law Richard Kerber.

She owned and operated Pat’s Meat Market with her husband for 42 years. Mrs. Robusto was a very talented musician, graduating from East High, had a scholarship to Eastman School of Music and was a longtime member of Genesee Choral. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Choir and Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Robusto loved to cook, root for the New York Yankees and was an excellent baker. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her.

She is survived by her beloved children Pasquale “Pat” G. (Maria) Robusto Jr. of Batavia; Darlene (Wade) Bianco of Batavia; Jeannine (John) Bezon of Chili; daughter-in-law Barbara (George) Robusto-Galliford of Batavia; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

A 9:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday September 13, 2018 at Ascension Parish, 15 Sumner St., Batavia, NY 14020. Mrs. Robusto will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum in Batavia.
