Lillian E. Bridge, age 72, of Batavia, died peacefully and surrounded by family on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester NY. Lillian was born in Batavia, on February 9, 1946 the daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Helen I. (Dart) Baker. She is preceded in death by her husband Morris Bridge in 1998, and sister Edith Wade in 2016.
Lillian grew up in Indian Falls, attended Oakfield Alabama schools and was a 1964 graduate of Alexander Central School. She worked for several years at GTE Sylvania in Batavia. She enjoyed snowmobiling and deer hunting with her late husband, bowling, baking, crafts, the outdoors, and a good game of cards. She will always be remembered by family and friends for her famous Christmas cookies and her smile and love that came with them.
She is survived by her loving children, Eric (Patty Kiricov) Bridge of Rochester and Karen Bridge of Batavia; sisters Evelyn (late Aden) Chaffer of Rush, Dorothy Jones of Fairport, Brenda (Alan) Hain of Rochester, and April (Charles) Pelton of Attica; brother-in-law Gerald Wade of Batavia. Sister-in-law Myrna (Gary) Dills of Batavia along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, August 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC., 4120 West Main Street Road, Batavia, NY. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25 at 11 a.m. at the Indian Falls United Methodist Church, 7908 Alleghany Road, Corfu, NY. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband in Byron Cemetery, Byron, NY.
