Craig was born September 23, 1957 in Brockport, a son of Glenn Burgess of Byron and the late Vera (Lougheed) Burgess.
Craig loved motorcycle racing, the outdoors and taking camping trips. A veteran, he served with the United States Army and was an automobile technician at Dorschel Automotive Group in Rochester.
Surviving along with his father are his wife, Sue (Jasek) Burgess of Byron; children, Justin Burgess of Fresno, TX, Brandon (Brice) Burgess of Batavia, Jessica (Dave) Zambito of Gates, Brittany (Nick) Kesler of Oakfield and Kelly Kesler of West Lafayette, IN; two grandchildren, Mackenzie and Conner Burgess and a future grandchild, Grigorious; one brother, Steve Burgess of Clarendon; two sisters, Shelly Cone of Waterport and Jodie (Scott) Warner of Ontario and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Craig will be laid to rest with full military honors in Byron Cemetery, Byron.
