
Mrs. Cecere was a devout Catholic, longtime member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Batavia and current parishioner of St. Jude Catholic Church in Boca Raton. Ginette was known for her tremendous grace, style, sense of humor and warm personality. She devoted herself to her loving family. Ginette’s five grandchildren were the light of her life, and they will forever cherish their “Gigi.”
Ginette is survived by her daughters Candice (and Michael) Sraeel of Atlanta, GA; Angel Cecere of Boca Raton, FL; Christine Cecere (and Brian Wormley) of Batavia; Darlene (and Barry) Freidin of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren Richard and Christopher Sraeel, Bryn and Malcolm Wormley, Daniel Freidin, along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, 329-333 West Main St., Batavia, NY 14020. An 11 a.m. Mass of Catholic Burial will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Ascension Parish, 19 Sumner St., Batavia, NY 14020. She will be laid to rest in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Batavia.
