Mr. Russell was retired from US Chrome where he worked for 36 years. He was a former member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church; he enjoyed woodworking, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, camping and traveling.
Raymond is survived by his wife Evelyn (Graham) Russell of East Pembroke, children Ricky (Lynn) Ball of Erie, PA, William (Nina) Ball, Robert (Cheryl) Ball all of Batavia, Christine (Randy) Klawer of East Pembroke, Patricia Turner of Alabama, Linda (Paul) Bisig of Batavia and Pamela “Rustie” (Louis) Reeb of Corfu. A brother Robert (Donna) Russell of Penfield, two sisters Marilyn Moulthrop and Jean (Everett) Smith of Batavia; 19 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren survive along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday May 27, 2014 from 11 to 1 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia New York 14020. Funeral services will follow calling hours, 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery in East Pembroke.
