Byron ~ Michael Lee Vainio, age 32, of Caswell Road, passed away on Thursday (Dec. 5, 2013) at United Memorial Medical Center.
Michael was born August 14, 1981 in Batavia, a son of Leo and Betsey Bell Vainio.
He was a 1999 graduate of Byron-Bergen Central School. He enjoyed carpentry, had a great love for the outdoors and for his pets, Simone and Big Boi. He was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.
In addition to his parents, Leo and Betsey of Byron, he is survived by his wife, Susana Revelo Vainio, his siblings, Patrick Vainio of Cumming, GA, Dr. Shawn (Annjannette) Vainio of Kodiak, AK and Leigh (Erik) Johanson of Black Mountain, NC, a niece, Anja Vainio of AK and an uncle, Roy Bell of McLean, NY.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 ~ 7 at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Michael's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 at St. Brigid's Church, 18 Gibson Street, Bergen, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or The Genesee County Animal Shelter.
