Francis was born in Perry, Nerw York on May 12,1923 a son of the late Thomas and Charity Holt Blanc. Franny graduated from Perry High School. He worked for NYSEG retiring in 1978. He served with the US Marine Corp during WWII. He was a member of the Perry VFW. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by brothers Gene and Thomas Blanc; sisters Marie Pethrick, Virginia Mattoon and Janet MacDonald.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Mavis (Ford) Blanc, their sons Michael (Patricia Coy) Blanc of Spencerport and John Blanc of Perry, a grandson: Bryan Blanc of New Hampshire, sisters: Barbara Figler of Avon, Anna Antonio of Batavia, Monica (Al) Fratelli of Deleware and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 3-7 PM on Monday December 2, 2013 at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, LLC. 98 North Main Street Perry, NY 14530. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 3rd at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Glenwood Cemetery in Perry.
