Mr. Richard Anthony Rodon

Oakfield - Richard Anthony Rodon, of Oakfield, a self-employed engineer, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at The New York State Veteran's Home, in Batavia.

Mr. Rodon was born in Batavia, a son of the late Martin and Mary Macougski Rodon.

A member of St. Padre Pio Parish in Elba and the American Legion Post No. 332 in Batavia, he was a graduate of Batavia High School and the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in physics. Until his retirement, he worked as a contract engineer specializing in government contracts. He traveled extensively for both work and pleasure.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Ann Panek Rodon; his brother, Anthony (Barbara) Rodon of Florida; his sister, Barbara (Joe) DeFazio of Batavia; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Allen of Elba and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

There are no prior visiting hours. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Padre Pio Parish - Elba Site, 65 South Main Street, Elba.  He will be laid to rest in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Oakfield.
