Esther R. Cianfrini

Esther R. Cianfrini, 93 of Batavia formerly of Oakfield, passed away on September 14, 2013 at the Genesee County Nursing Home. She was born October 2, 1919 in Batavia to the late Guy (Lola Acanfora) Chiarolanza. Mrs. Cianfrini was retired from the Oakfield Alabama School System where she worked in food service for 23 years. She was a former member of St. Padre Pio Parish. She is preceded in death by her husband Ezio J. Cianfrini in 1997, a daughter Mary Ann Bermingham in 1992, a great grandson Andrew John Cianfrini in 2009, Brother Frank Chiarolanza, and Sisters Josephine Ficarella, Frances Seamans, Mary DiSanto, Margaret Pascucci; brother-in-law Paul Cianfrini.

Esther is survived by her son John (Jean) Cianfrini of Batavia, son in law John (Barb) Bermingham of Rochester, 4 grandchildren Terry (Ken) Todd of California, Debbie (Owen) Guile of Pavilion, Pamela Vernaccini of Michigan and Kristen Cianfrini of Batavia.   5 Great Grandchildren also survive along with sisters in law Cecelia Zito, Catherine Cianfrini both of Batavia, Anna Czekanski of Ford City, PA.

Friends are invited to call on Tuesday September 17, 2013 from 4 to 7 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020. A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be take place on Wednesday September 18, 2013 at Resurrection Parish 303 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
