Nellie M. Baker age 89 formerly of Perry,NY died Saturday morning June 29, 2013 at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, N.C. She was born in Avon, NY on March 21, 1924, daughter of the late Stewart (Ethel) McMaster. Nellie was self-employed doing housekeeping for many homes in the area. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Perry and attended Center United Methodist in Concord, N.C. She helped out with various church activities, she also enjoyed watching golf and racing. She is preceded in death by 2 brothers Eugene & John McMaster, 2 Stepsisters Ruth Wheaton and Florence Fleishman and Foster brother Ralph Jenks.
Loving mother of Virgina "Ginny" (Charles) Toor of Barefoot Bay, Fla. and Sharon "Sherry" (Douglas) Hewitt of Concord, NC. A sister Hazel Pate of Southern Pines, NC, Foster brother Duane (Ann) Jenks of Simpsonville SC along with 7 Grandchildren 21 Great grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home LLC 98 North Main St. Perry, NY 14530 on July 5, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 6, 2013 at 11AM at the First United Methodist Church 35 Covington St. Perry, NY 14530 . Burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.
