He was born December 7, 1941 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Merrill Wood and Ruth Wiltse Wood.
Roger was employed by Doehler-Jarvis Co. and Graham Manufacturing prior to his retirement. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and was a member of the N.R.A. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Paula Chilano Wood of Batavia. Son, Daniel (Tara) Wood of Akron, NY. Daughter, Lesley (Roy) Wood of Batavia. Sister, Renee (Walford) Josephson of Cassadaga, NY. Also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Dianna (late Keith) Alwardt.
Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Friday (August 11th) from 4-7pm at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 Bogue Ave., Batavia, where a funeral service will commence at the conclusion of visitation at 7pm. Graveside services will be Saturday, 11:00am in St. Joseph Cemetery.
