Sarah M. Passamonte, 87 of Batavia, died October 22, 2012 at the United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. She was born September 27, 1925 in Batavia to the late Samuel (Antoinette Irrera) Oddo Sr.. Mrs. Passamonte was retired from Off Track Betting in Batavia and was a member of St. Anthony’s Church for many years. She loved to cook, bake and spend time with her family. She is preceded in death by her brothers Nicholas, William, Anthony Oddo and a sister Angeline M. Oliver.
She is survived by her beloved husband Charles Passamonte Jr.; brothers Joseph (Frances); Samuel (Theresa); Richard (Donna) Oddo all of Batavia; sisters Katherine (Bart) Turchiarelli of Williamsville; Anne (Nicholas) DiStefano of West Seneca along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday October 25, 2012 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. Prayers will be recited 9:30 AM on Friday October 26, 2012 at the Funeral Home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church 122 Liberty St. Batavia, NY 14020. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
