Age 67, of Batavia, died Sunday morning September 16, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born August 18, 1945 in Batavia, NY, a daughter of the late Everett J. & Dorothy E. (Smith) Miller, also preceded in death by her husband James R. Barberio Sr. in 2001, her daughter Sandy Wittkop, a brother Clifford Miller and granddaughter Jordyn Barberio and grandson Michael Boyce.
Marie was a member of the Elba Methodist Church and worked for many years at Elba Central School. A wonderful mother and grandmother who was an avid bingo player, enjoyed arts and crafts, especially needlepoint.
Surviving are her loving children James R. Barberio Jr. of Batavia, Chris (Joy) Barberio, Cheryl (Dan) Boyce, Connie Barberio all of Elba and Robin (Dan) Wissinger of Oakfield; brothers Richard (Linda) Miller and Ken (Nancy) Miller all of Oakfield; son-in-law Emmitt Wittkop of Batavia; 10 grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews & friends.
Family and friends may visit from 3-7 PM on Tuesday September 18, 2012 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where Funeral Services will take place 10:00 AM Wednesday September 19 with burial to follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.
