Age 88, of Oakfield and formerly of Batavia, died peacefully Monday morning February 21, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born January 29, 1924 in LeRoy, NY daughter of the late Frank & Carmella (Zalacca) O'Geen and was also preceded in death by her husband Walter P.; son Joseph; sisters Josephine Tomaszewski & Connie O'Geen. She was a member of Ascension Parish and worked for many years at Batavia Downs. An avid card player, Mary loved to be with family, friends and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving is her loving daughter Mary Eleanor (Steve) Wells of Oakfield; brother Fran (Chip) O'Geen; sister Sarah O'Geen; 3 grandchildren Paul, Nick & Ashley; 3 great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Megan & Carter along with many nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Family and friends may visit from 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday February 24 at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020 where prayers will be recited 9:00 AM Saturday February 25 followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial Ascension Parish (Sacred Heart Site).
