Gloria was employed by Student Transportation of America where she drove a school bus for many years and was also a member of the Byron Ladies Auxiliary. She will forever be remembered as a very strong woman who above all else loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband Hardman G. Smith of Byron; children Sonya (Charles) Durkee of Byron, Laura Smith of FL., and Hardman Smith Jr. of FL.; brother Glenn Lomax of W. Middlebury; 4 grandchildren Chelsea Smith, Madysson Smith, Charles Durkee II and Nathan Durkee; 1 great-grandchild Bennett Durkee, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend an 11:00AM Funeral Service on Tuesday April 18, 2017 at Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main Street Batavia, New York 14020. Gloria will be laid to rest in North Byron Cemetery Rt. 237 in Byron.
