Paul V. Rugala

Paul V. Rugala, 66 of Batavia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (March 16, 2017) at his residence.

He was born October 16, 1950 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Theodore and Arlene Kaleta Rugala.

Paul was a graduate of Notre Dame High School class of 1968 and was employed by the Daily News and Pennysaver prior to his retirement. He enjoyed nature and loved to fish in various lakes, especially making his annual trip to Canada.

Survivors include his sisters, Jeanne (Joseph) Pero of Batavia and Rita (Howard) Vogl of Florida. Nephew, Joseph James Pero of New York City. Niece, Natalie Childs of Rochester. Also survived by several cousins.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories at a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday (April 1st), 11:00am at the J. LEONARD MCANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
