Laura R. Tracy

Laura R. Tracy, age 87, of Wyoming Rd., Pavilion, passed away Wednesday, February 1st, 2017 at the East Side Nursing Facility. She was born in Leicester, July 31st, 1929, daughter of the late John Sr. and Mary Foster Cartwright. A lifetime resident of Pavilion, and 1947 graduate of Dansville High School, Laura worked as a book keeper for Tracy Brothers in Pavilion and later with Empire Livestock and Expressway Auto Auction. She was a member of Pavilion Methodist Church and volunteered at the WCCH gift shop where she served as treasurer as well as working as an election inspector in Pavilion. Laura was also a longtime member of the Pavilion Fire Department Auxillary.

She was predeceased by her husband, David Tracy in 2012 and a brother, John Cartwright Jr. Survivors include 2 sons, Tom Tracy of Perry and Todd (Cathy) Tracy of Pavilion; 3 daughters, Sue (Jim) Rudgers of Pavilion, Sally (Bob) Seaver of Pavilion, and Teresa Tracy of Castile; a brother-in- law, Richard (Shirley) Tracy of Dansville; a step-sister, Peggy Rundell of Avoca; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Friends of Laura may call Saturday, February 4th, 2017 from 1pm to 4pm at the Weeks Funeral Home 123 N. Main St. Warsaw.
A memorial service will be held following calling hours at the funeral home at 4pm. Burial will take place at a later date in the Pavilion cemetery.
