The batavian also has traffic from India (23%) and Sri Lanka (5%).
Alexa is totally useless as a
Alexa is totally useless as a web measurement source. It's traffic numbers are terrifically off and are in now way related to reality.
Compete.com is also highly flawed.
Most reliable source, though by no means 100 percent accurate, and takes a little metrics knowledge to understand, is quantcast.

Ha. Again, Alexa is in no way accurate. It probably also says we get 15 percent of our traffic from Mars and another 5 percent from Atlantis.

Alexa wouldn't measure
Alexa wouldn't measure anything automated. It relies on people installing a browser plug in that communicates back to its servers what sites those users are visiting.
We do get a lot of spammers trying to post to the site, which would explain some Indian traffic, but not 23 percent. That's just insane. GA shows all non-US traffic less than 1 percent. We had 78 visits from India in August.
