Reaching Out with the Gift of Song

Reaching Out with the Gift of Song .... a benefit vocal recital by Megan Brenner, Brittany Mruczek, Jen Neroni, Kathleen Porter, Christopher Falzarano, Alex Grayson, Matthew Mayne, James Schmieder and featured musicians - Zackary Carr, Joseph DeGolia and David Porter.  This recital has been organized in support of  a group of Canisius College students traveling to India in January 2010.  Choosing to be part of an Immersion Service Experience Abroad, the Canisius students are encouraged to seek to serve the people in the developing world while growing in understanding of their life experiences, culture, needs and spirituality.  During their stay, they will teach English to children in grades, 6 - 12, at a Jesuit school near Chennai in southern India.  This school provides a means of education for children who are often overlooked by society.  Funds raised will also help to provide vital school supplies, clothing and to pay for repairs necessary at the school.  Your donation and presence will be greatly appreciated in support of the Canisius students' effort to serve children less fortunate than themselves.  Reaching Out with the Gift of Song - at Stuart Steiner Theater, Genesee Community College; Sunday, August 2nd, 7 PM.  No admission charge, but a free will offering will be gratefully accepted.  For more information, please contact Megan Brenner, 1 716 344 4627.
