Attica - Kathleen L. Morse, 80 of Attica passed away on December 24, 2024 at Rochester Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Rochester.
Mrs. Morse was born September 9, 1944 in Elmira, a daughter of the late Hugh and Jesse (Brewer) McCall.
Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends. Through the years she enjoyed playing cards, bowling, golfing, gathering to watch the Bills, and “secret trips” to the casino. The winter months were spent poolside reading or at the beach in Venice, Florida. Most importantly, she created a home with her husband that made everyone feel welcomed, fed, and oftentimes on a visit you parted with something, whether it be an old treasure, a new find, or a borrowed purse. Her most treasured gift to all was her sense of humor.
Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Michael L. Morse of Attica; daughters, Jenny (Greg) Arnold of Medina, Kelly (Gregory) Schmieder of Alexander, and Molly (Gary) Schmieder of Attica; grandchildren, Matthew, Katarina (Ryan), Ryan (Jocelyn), Megan (Joe), Hans, and Kevin; sisters, Jeanne (James) Fleet of Venice, Florida, and Betsy (late Matt) Matusicky of Elmira.
Along with her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by her brother, John McCall; and sister, Ellen Talbot.
A Celebration of Kathleen's Life will be held in the coming weeks and will be announced. Burial in Alexander Cemetery will be private. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Stevens Memorial Library, 146 Main Street, Attica, New York 14011 or the local charity of the donor's choice.
