Gerald M. Wade “Jerry”, 84 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday (December 23, 2024) at his residence under the loving care of his family.

He was born May 1, 1940, a son of the late Myron and Eva Wade.

Jerry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country from 1958-1961. He was an Accounting Clerk for the Sears Buffalo Credit Central prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church and for many years served as the church historian. He was a fan of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed participating in activities with fellow veterans.

Survivors include his children, Thomas (Noralba) Wade of Colorado, Christina Wade Jones of Texas and Ted (Heidi) Wade of Colorado. Grandchildren, Noah Wade, Justin Wade, Alexandra Jones, Victoria (Ryan) Jones and Jenna Grier. Sister, Lorraine Nettnin.

He was predeceased by his wives, Phyllis Wade and Edith Wade.

Family and friends may call on Monday (December 30th) from 11am-1pm at the Cornerstone Church, 2583 Main St, East Pembroke, NY, where a funeral service and military honors will be held at 1pm. Burial will be North Pembroke Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to a Veteran organization of your choice.
