Mary K. Cullen, 93, of Corfu, NY passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024. Mary was born in Bunnacranna, County Sligo, Ireland on January 28, 1931. She emigrated from Ireland to Auburn, NY at the age of 21 with her sister Nora. She was the daugther of the late James and Catherine (Maye) Brett.
Mary (Maura) was the wife of the late John (Jack) F. Cullen and she was the mother of Mary Beth (Bart) Pricola, of Brockport; Fr. John Cullen, Pastor of N.W. Allegheny County Catholic Churches; Daniel (Meris) Cullen of Beaver, PA; Noreen (Mark) Bull, of Beaver, PA; Kathleen (Chris) Dollard of Darien; James (Lori) Cullen of Pittsburgh, PA; Maureen Cullen (Don Taylor) of Corfu; and Patricia Cullen of Batavia as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She ia also survived by her sisters Nora (Paul) Pickett of Baldwinsville, Bernadette Brett of Fulton and brother PJ Brett of Derby, England as well as her sisters-in-law Adelaide DeMaso and Lorraine Cullen of Auburn as well many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sister, Ursula Brett, brothers James and Michael Augustine Brett, sister-in-law Mary Brett and niece Anna Brett.
Mary retired after 20 years at Kutter's Cheese Factory. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Corfu. She was a woman of great Catholic faith and love of her family and friends.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Friday July 12th at the C. B. Beach and Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 Main St, Corfu, NY 14036. Her funeral mass will be celebrated by her son, Father John Cullen, on Saturday July 13th at 10 am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church 5771 Buell St (Rt 93), Akron, NY 14001.
