John R. Alfieri, 87 of Corfu, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 14, 2024.
He was born July 8, 1936 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Thomas and Eva Andrews Alfieri.
John loved to laugh. He loved Jesus and his family. He would always lend a listening ear and always be willing to help. He was quite the character and known as the "fun uncle." He was a good dad and grandfather and will be missed dearly.
He was the father of the late Cassie Alfieri and brother to several late siblings.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry Alfieri of Corfu. Son, John Alfieri Jr. of South Dakota. Daughters, Kellie (Richard) Kinnett of Corfu, Melissa (Larry) Zanghi of Corfu and Tracy (Gabriel) Shoshan of Alden. Sisters, Sharon (Paul) Lowman, Christine Alfieri, Nicholette Alfieri, Connie Sargent, Beverly Adams and Nancy Standridge. Also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service with military honors on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 11 AM the Western New York National Cemetery in Corfu, NY.
