Schubert

Attica- Stephen P. Schubert, age 66, of French Rd, passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2024 at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility.

He was born January 22, 1958, the only son of the late David and Joan (Guertin) Schubert.

He grew up on the family dairy farm working along side his grandfather and father. He enjoyed every minute of farm life. He graduated from Pembroke Central School in 1976. He worked a short time at Kodak in Rochester. His true passion was driving semi-trucks. He worked several years driving truck for Mayer Brothers Cider Mill in West Seneca. He retired from there and began working small jobs for whoever needed help.

Stephen is known for his good nature, sense of humor and wanting to help others whenever he could. He had a big heart for dogs and cats. Especially feeding them treats. The animals loved that. He enjoyed spending time with friends especially his "buddy" Scott Becker whom he knew all his life. Steve and Scott even went on a church mission trip to Haiti to help people there.

Steve loved the Lord very much and Steve's faith remained strong through his difficult journey with dementia. His favorite song, "Jesus Take The Wheel" is what gave him strength. He is now in heaven and at peace.

Steve leaves his three sisters, Susan (Charlie) Riley, Kathleen (Jay) Cook and Joanne (Edward) Basher; a son, Bradley (Jordynn) Schubert; a daughter Kally (Ben) Draycott; three nephews and one niece.
