Furber

Marion Furber Age 84 passed away March 12, 2024 at Cottage Grove Memory Care in North Chili.  Mrs. Furber was born in Warrington, England, a daughter of the late Harry and Lily (Hockenhull) Bate.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Karen (John) Campbell of Batavia and Elaine (Graham) Harding of North Myrtle Beach, South. Carolina; sister, Brenda Whyte of Warrington, England.  Grandchildren J.R. (Jill) Campbell, Jeffrey (Theresa) Campbell and Amanda Harding (Brett Elliott), Great Grandchildren, Nathan, Quinn and Noelle and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alan Furber; and a sister, Vera "Vicky" Leone.

Marion and her family emigrated from Warrington, England to Batavia in 1978, and even after being here for many years, she never lost her accent.  “Hello Love” was a familiar phrase that embodied Marion's personality, especially to people at United Memorial Hospital, where she spent her remaining working years in Central Supply.  Marion spent the last five years of her life being cared for by the wonderful staff at Cottage Grove Memory Care, special thank you to Marsha, Sylvia and Natalie

There will be no calling hours - a small family celebration will be held in North Myrtle Beach where Marion enjoyed many vacations with her family.

Arrangements were entrusted to H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home in Batavia. Please leave a condolence, share a story, or light a candle at www.bataviafuneralhomes.com
