Gertrude Constance Gorski, 93 of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024 at United Memorial Medical Center. She was born September 3, 1930 in Tupper Lake, to the late Charles and Isabella (Godin) Sivret. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry Gorski, siblings, Dr. Alexander (Elizabeth) Sivret and Elizabeth (Joseph) Barsuk.
Mrs. Gorski retired as an RN from Rochester Psychiatric Center, she also worked at St. Jerome’s Hospital for many years. Nursing was something she was very passionate about. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild and her special dog; Trucker.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Zanghi of Batavia, Cecelia (Tony Ortiz) Gorski of Lackawanna, and Charles (Susan) Gorski of Batavia; 6 grandchildren, David (Kelley) Zanghi, Eugene (Michelle) Myers, Charlene (Samantha) Myers-Pauly, Charles “CJ” (Ashley Wumkes) Gorski, James (Jackie Nocita) Gorski, Clayton (Cheyenne Ernst) Gorski, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery.
