Joseph L. Helmicki, 96 of Akron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (December 27, 2023) at the Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga.
He was born October 1, 1927 in Buffalo, NY, a son of the late Joseph and Martha Glinicki Helmicki.
Joseph was a former tile layer for Sunset Tile and Marble in Florida prior to his retirement. He enjoyed his family and will be missed dearly.
He was predeceased by his wife Shirley Helmicki, who passed in 2002.
Survivors include his sons, Kevin (Gale) Helmicki of Florida and James (Dorothy) Helmicki of Alden. Also survived by a sister and 3 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Acacia Park Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.mcandrewfuneralhomes.net.
