Gwendolyn E. Johnson, 82 of Attica, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 15, 1939 in Batavia, to the late Richard Rowcliffe and Marjorie (Sass) Powers. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, LaVerne Johnson and granddaughter Rachael Dunn.

Mrs. Johnson worked for many years at Darien Knitting Mill. She was an active member in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Attica. Gwen loved to bake and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved children, Kevin (Francine) Johnson of E. Bethany, Cynthia (Randy Nutty) Johnson of Attica, Justine (Keith) Acquard of Bennington, Brian Johnson of Attica; grandchildren, Alicia (Fiancé Jesse), Tara (Michael), Justin (Jessica), Anthony (Keesha), Andrea, Cody, Dominique (Nathan), Angelyna, great-grandchildren, Kayden, Emma, Tyler, Gavin, Brayden, Kamdyn, Alyssia, Rebecca, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 4 to 7 PM at Marley Funeral Home, LLC, 135 Main Street, Attica, New York 14011. An 11:00 AM Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 30 Favor Street, Attica, NY 14011. She will be laid to rest in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu.
