Richard K. Snell, Sr.

Richard K. Snell, Sr., 64 of Byron, passed away suddenly on Monday (April 11, 2022) at Strong Memorial Hospital.

He was born September 20, 1957 in Rochester, NY, a son of the late Walter and Jane Wheeler Snell.

Richard was formerly employed by K & W Manufacturing in Bergen. He was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, campfires, cooking and eating home cooked meals. He will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa (Eric Harter) Snell of LeRoy. Sons, Richard Snell Jr. of Holley, Shane (Angeline) Snell of Pavilion and Walter Snell of Byron. Sister, Janet (Dave) Montante of Rochester. Grandchildren, William Gorton, Jason Gorton, John Gorton, Brandyn Snell, Devin Graham, Silas Snell, Levi Snell, Kendra Snell and Joselyn Snell. Great-grandchildren, Gabriella Gorton and Skylar Snell. Former spouse and friend, Sandra Westbrook.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Snell and great-granddaughter, Zoey Gorton.

Family and friends are cordially invited to share thoughts, condolences and fond memories on Saturday (April 23rd) from 1-3pm at the J. LEONARD McANDREW FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2 BOGUE AVE., BATAVIA, NY, where a funeral service will commence at 3pm.
