One doesn't realize the beauty of a "dazzle" as my daughter so poetically calls them until you have been handed a huge bunch from a toddler. Brightens even the grumpiest of days. I love them. If the good lord didn't want us to enjoy them then he would never have made them.
I have mixed feelings about dandelions. I suppose I would mind them less if my neighbors were not so fanatic about eradicating them. The thought of my dandelions seeding their yards seems kind of provocative. ...On the same level as our childhood pet Labrador retriever that sired all the puppies in Bergen.
The idea of a green AND yellow lawn is appealing to me. Dandelions are only unattractive when the blossoms are gone. One could say the same for most flowers. In deference to my dandeliphobic neighbors I mow the subversive plants before they turn to seed.
Have you noticed, though...? Dandelions seem to have adapted shorter stems to survive below the mower blades...
I also liked the song, "Dandelion," by the Rolling Stones; off one of my favorite albums: "Through the Past, Darkly."
A related dandelion subject: has anyone else discovered Pellicano's marinara sauces? Their natural sauces are manufactured in Buffalo. They have a dandelion root sauce that is extraordinary! I buy mine in the Wegman's health food section. It isn't even expensive.
I know that you can make wine from dandelions. When I was young my father bought all of the wine making equipment just for this purpose but I don't recall any wine actually being made.

By that logic we should enjoy
By that logic we should enjoy the smell of poo.

Aren't dandolion greens,
Aren't dandolion greens, similar to Gardoons?? Those can be picked soon too, I believe.
No, those are young burdock
