
James was a Veteran of the United States Army. He retired as Assistant Post Master in Mt. Morris and went on to work at J.N. White Design. Mr. Gildner was an avid fisherman and loved living at the lake. He was very personable and helped everyone with everything. James loved children, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife Katherine B. (Behr) Gildner of Silver Lake, daughter Kellie Herrmann of Grandbury, TX; brother David (Nora) Gildner of Alexander; grandsons Christopher (Emily) Herrmann of Wyoming; Nicholas (Angela) Herrmann of Tolar, TX; 4 great-grandchildren Rachel, Shane, Cailey, Riley, along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior calling hours and services will be private.
