
Cynthia “Cindy" L. Miano, 61, of Corfu, NY entered into rest on Sunday February 3, 2019, at Buffalo General Hospital after a brief illness.
Cindy was born on June 2, 1957, in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of Sara (Adams) Teabout and Douglas Bates.
Cindy is survived by companion and best friend of 35 years Edward Korczak, Daughters Jaime (Jamie) Totten of Corfu, NY and Nicole (Cory) Coe of Basom, NY, Grandsons Garrett and Tyson Totten. Mother, Sara (Tom) Teabout, Father, Douglas (Rose) Bates. Brothers, Mark (Sue Ellan) Bates and Scott (Sue) Bates. Cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cindy was predeceased by her late husband of 8 years Mark Miano.
Cindy devoted her life to making a good home for her family. She loved being with her companion Ed, children, grandchildren and dogs. Cindy enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, puzzle books, watching movies, yatzee and spending time in the Adirondacks with her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and loved her dogs unconditionally.
Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary, Inc., 4 E. Main St., Corfu, NY 14036. A small memorial service will be held at C. B. Beach & Son Mortuary on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can made to Volunteers for Animals, at the Genesee County Animal Shelter at 3341 West Main Street Road, Batavia, NY 14020.
