Douglas was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Prior to retirement he worked for Strippit in Akron, New York. Douglas had a deep love for his family and was a firm believer that family didn’t necessarily have to be blood. He was a sports enthusiast, particularly baseball. The past four years Doug would take trips down to Orlando to watch the Yankee’s spring training with his children. Additionally, he enjoyed traveling to visit his children as well as traveling with his son to Europe. He also enjoyed reading, playing euchre with family, gardening and just sitting on his porch.
Douglas is survived by his loving children Daniel of GA; Deanna (Allan) Browning of TX; Michael (Pamela) of GA; Thomas (Kathy) Satterlee of IN; Susan Mott of Batavia; brother Bruce Satterlee of Wellsville; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews.
