Stanley Kwiecien, 86 of Perry passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw. Stanley was born in Perry on March 2, 1931 a son of the late Felix and Josephine ( ) Kwiecien. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by siblings: Genevieve, Edward and Chester Kwiecien.
Stan worked for Moog Valve Co. in East Aurora and eventually became a self-employed instrumentation technician who worked on airplanes at the Perry-Warsaw and Batavia Airports. He was also a self-employed electrician. He was a member of St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish in Perry, Perry Fire Department, Perry Exempt Firemen, Perry Emergency Ambulance, McKelton Post #350 American Legion in Perry, Knights of Columbus, Perry Vets Club and the former Dom Polski’s Club in Perry. Stan was a pilot who enjoyed flying his plane, playing his accordion, watching sporting events especially the Buffalo Bills games, he enjoyed being outdoors whether hiking, trapping or snow skiing.
He is survived by his wife Catherine M. (Dilello) “Katie” Kwiecien whom he married on September 3, 1955, 2 daughters: Mary Jo (Donald) Shelc of Perry, Debbie (John) Piccioli of Tucson, Az., 3 sons: Kenneth (Robin) Kwiecien, Thomas (Shelley) Kwiecien and Ronald (Michele) Kwiecien all of Perry, 11 grandchildren: Katie Jean and Laura Piccioli, Ryan and Robert Shelc, Gary, Kacey, Dannielle, Kristofer, Nickolas, Brittni and Brooke Kwiecien, 2 great granddaughters: Gracie and Skylar, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends may call from 9-11am on Saturday October 28, 2017 at Eaton-Watson Funeral Home LLC. 98 North Main Street Perry, NY 14530. A fireman’s service will follow at 11:00am at the Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Isidore’s Catholic Parish (St. Joseph’s Church) in Perry on Saturday October 28th at noon. He will be laid to rest in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Perry, NY.
