LeRoy ~ Duffy S. Falcone, age 86, of Platt Avenue, passed away Sunday evening (Oct. 27, 2013) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
Mr. Falcone was born February 13, 1927 in LeRoy, a son of the late James and Josephine Teresi Falcone.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor of the LeRoy Post Office and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In his earlier years, he was also the manager of the Red Osier Restaurant and the LeRoy Country Club.
He is survived by his daughters, Joanne Sallah of Jacksonville, FL and Gloria (Joseph) Avino of Batavia, sisters-in-law, Joanne Falcone of LeRoy and Ann Dillon of Fowlerville, daughter-in-law, Rebel Falcone of NC, 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Duffy was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Thelma, his son, William, and his siblings, Ralph Falcone, Carrie Sandroni, Christina Zalacca, Josephine Falcone, Philip Falcone, Joseph Falcone and Salvatore Falcone.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19). His Rite of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish (St. Joseph's Oratory) 27 Lake St., LeRoy, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
