TERESA W. GIESLER, LPN – Age 61, of Batavia, died Friday afternoon October 25, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born April 10, 1952, in Batavia, NY, to Jacqueline (Wilkes) Campo of Batavia and the late Wayland E. Cotter.
Teresa was employed as a unit coordinator at the Harris Hill Nursing Facility, a dedicated nurse, who on more than one occasion received "Nurse of the Year" awards. She had a passion for horses, enjoyed quilting and reading, most important was the love for her children and grandchildren
Surviving along with her mother is her husband of 32 years, Mark Giesler of Batavia; loving daughters, Amy (Tony) Ilacqua of Oakfield, Jessica (Philip) Farley of Syracuse; sons, Chad (Jennifer) Giesler of Batavia and Matthew (Amanda) Giesler of Stafford; sisters, Joann (Phil) O'Geen of LeRoy, Deborah Smith of Batavia and Cathryn (Patrick) McCay of PA; eight grandchildren, James, Anthony, Victoria, Jordan, Madison, Alexander, Brenna and Lauren along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends may visit from 4-9 p.m. on Tuesday October 29, 2013, at the Michael S. Tomaszewski Funeral & Cremation Chapel, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020. Funeral services will be held privately and memorials may be made in care of the family for a scholarship to a future nursing student in Teresa's memory.
