Batavia ~ Robert F. Cripps, age 75, of State Street, passed away Sunday afternoon (Sept. 15, 2013) at United Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Cripps was born Sept. 6, 1938 in Caledonia, a son of the late John and Minnie Stefani Cripps.
He was a proud U.S. Army veteran, having served tours in both Korea and Vietnam. He then worked as a trucking dispatcher up until his retirement. He was a Buffalo Bills and an Elvis fan and he thoroughly enjoyed having conversations with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Favaro Cripps, his children; Robert (Heidi) Cripps of Canandaigua, Amber Marie Cripps of Richmond, VA, Jennifer Cripps of LeRoy and Heather (Richard) McClure of Albion; grandchildren, Trevor Cripps and Paityn Cooper; his siblings, John (Barbara) Cripps of NYC, Marion Roth of LeRoy, Ernest Cripps of Caledonia and Beatrice (Bill) Radley of Stafford, along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc, 8700 Lake Road (Rt 19), LeRoy. Rite of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at Resurrection Parish (St. Joseph's Church), Batavia, with entombment to follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 193, 53 Main Street, LeRoy, N.Y. 14482
