Genevieve A. Argulski, 100 of Batavia died March 27, 2012 at the United Memorial Medical Center. She was born October 2, 1911 in Buffalo, NY to the late John (Margaret Wellman) Tamila. Mrs. Argulski was a 35 year member of the Notre Dame Prayer Group and an 80 year member of Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Site) where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a teacher at R.G.I.A, a worker at the Octoberfest dinner dance, and she also served on the bereavement committee. She is preceded in death by her husband John Argulski; son Alan Argulski; daughter Connie Argulski; brothers Walter and Chester Tamila; three sisters Mary Swiatck, Sue Bishop, and Helen Rugala.
She is survived by her son Norm Argulski of Batavia and her sister Tosh (Robert) Rhode.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc., 329-333 West Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020. A 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Resurrection Parish-St. Mary's Church 18 Ellicott St. will be held on Thursday March 29, 2012. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
