Anthony F. Leone, 73 of Batavia, died January 8, 2012 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born July 13, 1938 in Batavia to the late Antonio (Louise Russo) Leone. Mr. Leone was retired from Kodak in Rochester where he worked for many years. He was a member of Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church and loved going to Batavia Downs. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara A. Leone (2011); brother George Leone and sister Catherine Fanale.
Anthony is survived by his sons Michael A. (Starr); Anthony A. Leone, brother Louis Leone, 4 grandchildren Michael Jr., Amanda, Kaytlyn, and Abbigayle Leone all of Batavia along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call on Wednesday January 11, 2012 from 3 to 7 PM at the Gilmartin Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Inc. 329-333 West Main St. Batavia, New York 14020.
Prayers will be recited 9:00 AM Thursday January 12, 2012at the funeral home followed by a 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Ascension Parish-St. Anthony’s Church, 122 Liberty Street, Batavia, New York. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Batavia, NY.
