GEORGE W. CROCKER

Age 85, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday January 15, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital. He was born June 10, 1931 in Batavia, NY a son of the late Ward B. and Frances (Muxworthy) Crocker, also preceded in death by his first wife, Donna J. (Manning) Crocker in 1983 and his daughter, Jacqueline Serrano in 2014. 

George was a 1949 graduate of Batavia High School was a United States Marine Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the former Sylvania company in Batavia. He was an avid sports fan, love to play golf and was a member of the VFW Post #1602 in Batavia. George was a family man who especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Surviving is his wife of 16 years, Nancy (Colton) Crocker of Batavia; his children, Renee (Donald) Gavenda of Batavia, Thomas (Nancy) Crocker of San Diego, CA, Jon (Laura Gonzalez) Crocker of Batavia and step-daughter, Amy Knight of Penfield; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren survive along with many friends. 

George's family invites all to attend a Celebration of Life/Military Honors 11:00a.m. Thursday January 19 at the MICHAEL S. TOMASZEWSKI FUNERAL & CREMATION CHAPEL, LLC 4120 West Main Street Road Batavia, New York 14020, he will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery and in lieu of flowers memorials in his memory are suggested to Hospice Buffalo 225 Como Park Blvd. PO Box 590 Buffalo, NY 14240-0590.
