Michael McDermott has a plan to eliminate the income tax for all New Yorkers in 4 years. 25% per year. Not complicated, not pandering to any special interest. Common sense solution from a man who is NOT a career politician.
If you think the state is on the right path, if you think that everything is as it should be, then vote for the incumbent and everything will just keep on going the way it is. If you'd like to change 1 or 2 things, but otherwise keep it all the same, vote for the Republican. If you want to see things begin to work in another direction, if you want your taxes to reduce, want corporate welfare to stop, want the government to stop intruding into your lives, and telling you what you are allowed to own; then vote for Michael, at the least if he can get 50,000 votes, then the Libertarian party will be recognized by the Board of Elections and ballot access will be much simpler to get for local Libertarian candidates over the next 4 years. What do you have to lose? Except maybe your same-o same-o ballot of one or sometimes 2 choices for local office. Why not have 2 or sometimes 3 choices? That's what your vote for Michael gets. Let's try to get a better voter turnout than 30 or 40%.
Your vote matters, make a statement with your vote.
I am not undecided and I am not voting for any of these (probably). I'll vote for Donna Mulvahill on the Constitution party line. She is part of the race and should have been a participant in the debate.
Although Astorino certainly seems more likely to actually win....
Astorino and Cuomo are just typical politicians. Watching them fight last night burned me up.
Hawkins had some good ideas (I clearly heard the moderator say no notes as part of the rules...) but didn't do a great job presenting them.
I'll probably vote for McDermott, even though I felt as though he had the weakest answers to any of the questions (up until the point that Cuomo and Astorino decided not to answer the questions posed to them).

I was all for Mario's son until he opened his mouth about everybody who doesn't live in NYC. That killed it for me. He has to go.

In my opinion both Astorino and Cuomo came off as arrogant SOB's.
Hawkins was a note reader with a definite GREEN agenda.
Common sense and down to earth answers to questions; McDermott, the clear winner.
