This question was very poorly worded!! The President has absolute authority under the "War Powers Act", to utilize a SMALL portion of the total allocation, $675B, to build the Wall. So asking the question this way was inaccurate, and misleading, but please try again, after doing a little research!!
Some think using the war powers act is an expansion of presidential authority and a dangerous slippery slope -- you know the kind of thing the Fox News pundits used to complain about Obama doing.
It's still taxpayers dollars (not pesos). It's still money out of the military appropriations. It's still piling onto the U.S. debt.
Not really an even Steven deal....but if he takes money for the wall, he should have to give up his military parade. I'd like to hear what other vets have to say....
Trump promised Mexico would.
Trump promised Mexico would. I could have sworn I heard that 20-30,000 times (minor hyperbole). "We'll get Mexico to pay for it."
Now somebody wants to take funds away from our soldiers to pay for it?!?
