He does it to make them focus on what he wants them to focus on, or to divert from something else. If the talking heads and such would ignore him and focus on reporting facts once in a while, it wouldn't matter and maybe he would stop doing it so much. But that's not how it is, is it? In the area of name calling, we’ve always made an exception for high elected officials. Presidents and governors probably don’t read The Batavian and if they do, at that level they better have a thick skin, and nonetheless, elected officials shouldn’t be protected from such things in a free country.
