What to research? Having spent time in the Far East, I know that most insects are edible and are a good source of protein. Fried crickets, scorpions, and rice beatles are among the foods our oriental cousins consume with relish. I use to work the flight line at night. The place was lit with high intensity are lights. These would attract thousands of laden rice beatles. Once landed they could not fly again. We use to gather them up in the morning and sell them down town to the food vendors.
