Orleans Cornell Cooperative Extension is offering hands-on food preservation trainings this season. Whether people have never canned before or have been canning for years, these workshops will provide up-to-date, research-based methods for preserving food safely. Participants will be involved in every step of the food preservation process and will leave with “how to” knowledge, recipes, a jar of food, and the confidence to preserve at home.
Each workshop costs $10.00 per participant. Call the office to register. Space is limited.
Learn to can and freeze peaches properly. We will also make jam. Learn to get a gel every time and to create products to meet your dietary needs.
