The Gasser Racing Series begins at 1 p.m. Satruday, May 18, at Empire Dragway, 2011 New Road in Leicester. This is a fantastic group of adults, many senior citizens, who race antique and vintage cars from the 1930s to the 1960s.
These are not the cookie-cutter cars you see on the TV sports shows. These cars are a work of art. Our racers come from all over Western NY, including Batavia, Rochester, Buffalo, Lockport, Niagara Falls, etc. Our racers include a racing trio of brothers, a husband and wife who are grandparents, and many other interesting people from all walks of life.
Gates will also open a 1 p.m. for racing on the following dates: June 15, June 22, July 13, July 27, Aug. 3 and Sept 7.
